Can't wait...

Chris and i booked our Europe trip yesterday and i am so excited! we are leaving the end of Feb. and staying through the first week in march, 8 days! we are flying in to Paris spending 4 days there (where we will be celebrating our 4 year anniversary on march 1st) and then taking a train to Venice, Italy and spending 4 days there, with a day trip up to lake Como by train.

I am so excited and am already counting down the days... i talked to my doctor and he gave me the green light to go, in fact he said the second trimester is the best time to travel. My Mom is going to come here and watch estee for the week so everything is taken care of... i sure am going to miss her though!

so if anyone has been to any of these cities and has any suggestions on restaurants, don't miss sights, etc. let me know...

In Paris they have corner stands that sell crepes, like the Hot Dog stands in New York. They are awesome, make sure you both try them. You can get them filled with anything from cheese to ice cream, whatever. And they are huge too. And if you eat at MacDonalds you can get a Royal w/cheese, mmmmmmmm. Also you should throw a paper airplane off the top of the Efile tower like I did and watch it decsend, be descrete though, some may think...how rude. But it is worth the scorn, trust me.

Oh you are going to LOVE this trip! Europe is gorgeous. So, I've been to Venice and I can't remember any specific restraunts but Piazza di San Marco is gorgeous - you won't miss it, it's the heart of the city, and Venice is famous for the Venetian glass. We went to a factory and saw how they made it. Again, Venice is full of Venetian glass, you won't miss it. The duomo (city's main church) is also in Piazza di San Marco, and there is also a main museum in that area (don't you love how I can't remember names of anything???) with gorgeous painted ceilings. I'm sure none of this is helpful, it doesn't matter, you will love it no matter what! Have so much fun!!!!!

Hi! I've been to Lake Como. On a trip through Europe (all through Germany and drove through Austria to Italy). We stayed at Villa de Este on Lake Como. It's a grand place! We also asked the locales for their favorite restaurants. That's what I love about Europe, especially Germany. They all spoke my language (English) and were very kind in speaking to me. So very different from how people who speak different languages are often treated here in the US.

Have a wonderful time. You are a wonderful photographer, I'm sure you'll have awesome shots to post!
