i have been working on decorating my house for the past few days, it has taken forever because i was working on it after the girls had gone to bed and i am so happy to finally have it done. i am hosting thanksgiving this year (for the first time!) and wanted everything up before thursday. so excited for thanksgiving and hopefully all of my planning and yummy recipes work out. i am really excited about being the hostess and i certainly have alot to be grateful for.

i am embarrassed to say i am am obsessed with the twilight movie and more specifically rob pattinson, have you heard this? oh, no. i know it is totally cheesy, but in my opinion the book is much, much cheesier (um, edward was wearing a collared, sleeveless button down shirt opened in one scene in the book) i have seen it twice and honestly will probably see it a few more times... i'm not ashamed. lucky for me my man is a fine and beautiful hunnie just like edward :)

also, thank you so much for all the nice comments about my chair... the class was offered through our community center and like i mentioned before was a hot ticket, i showed up about 3 hours early to stand in line and still barely got into the class.

now for the photos of my house all decked out...

i am so excited to be decorating for christmas, i cant even begin to tell you how much i love this.

long shot...

does anyone out there have or know someone who has 2 extra tickets to twilight tonight i can buy? at pretty much any theatre???

they're for a friend of mine... maybe.

***my friend got really great tickets to a sneak peek TONIGHT, and maybe my friend and her twin sister are standing in line right now trying to avoid a camera crew, but I am pretty sure they are really excited... maybe.

****we LOVED every second of it. we went in with really low expectations though. cant wait to see it again this weekend!

a bunch of stuff...

new york was such a great time. it was just what i needed and jen and i hit up every thing we were hoping to and more. i left my camera behind and just enjoyed myself in the moment... at the time i felt great about my decision but now that i am home going through the five photos i did take, i am having some regrets... oh well, i will be back.

here are a few i took of the important stuff... magnolias and the MOMA kirchner exhibit (a don't miss if you are in new york) i'm obsessed.

and i couldn't go to new york and not get my girls american girl dolls ... they are even more obsessed (just look at the look on moanie's face)

and here are a couple of my favorites from recent weeks that i have not gotten around to blogging, i am in love with both of these photos.

i cant believe i am home. with my girls, with my husband in our sweet little house. it has been a crazy last couple of weeks and though i do feel it is so important for people (especially mommies) to get away and see the world every chance they get, there is absolutely nothing better than coming home (especially when there are squeals and giggles of delight from two little girls)

and the best part is, i know that they were loved to their core every day i was away by auntie and unkie.
you guys are way to good to me. and i'm pretty sure these two girls have grown accustomed to being spoiled rotten!

and since i have no photos to share from NYC or st. george here are a few of us

taken by the very talented jessica kettle.

i have to laugh at the fact that all growing up election night was always like a holiday at our house. we would always sit around as a family and watch the results come in while my mom baked yummy treats. last night ann and i carried on the tradition, of course with my mom calling every 15 min.

i for one am feeling very proud to be an American.

now lets do some good, mr. president.

moving and new york...

so, our house is for sale! i am excited but also a little sad to say goodbye to the first house we have really made a home. we have put so much love into this house and it has been so good to us. it really is a great house so if you know anyone looking then this is their place :) (remember my really cool studio?) also, we have a really sweet huge steam room, concrete counter tops, tile on the main floor, plantation shutters, etc... it is divine!

anyway, call our realtor adam at 801-400-3143 if you are interested or have any questions.

also, i am going to new york on friday with my friend jen. we are going for 4 days and staying at the fancy waldorf. i am so excited because i haven't been in years (chris and i went about 4 years ago) anyway, to all you new york locals (or past locals) let me know all the don't miss spots, restaurants and shopping (besides the obvious, already done tourist stuff) i intend on making every meal count!!!

chris and i were sonny and cher, pretty good for throwing it together last minute...
(photo stolen from sarah)

and then the cutest little kitty cat you have ever laid eyes on...

ann made the outfit and of course i didn't get a photo with the hoodie on that she decked out with fur and a tail. so darling.

whew, what a day it was. we bounced from place to place, party to party... i've said it before but these little girls bring the magic back into the holidays!

hope your halloween was a good one too.
